Join SAMHSA’s Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) Network for Grief Sensitivity Institute Part 2: Applying concepts to practice. The series is geared towards providing front-line workers with tools and strategies they can use when addressing the needs of individuals experiencing grief and loss during COVID-19 and beyond. This event has three learning tracks: Evidence-based and Culturally Defined Practice, Grief Sensitivity in the Workplace, and School Mental Health.
Part 1 of the Grief Institutes (September 10-11) provided grounding in the basics of grief sensitivity (frameworks, definitions, and foundational concepts). You do not need to have participated in Part 1 to participate in the November sessions. Recordings of all Part 1 sessions will be posted to the MHTTC Products & Resources Catalog before Part 2.
If you are interested in more grief resources, the MHTTC Network has released a series of five fact sheets on defining grief, responses to grief across the lifespan, preventive strategies and protective resources for grief, cultural responsiveness, and evidence-based treatments for grief.
