The Response for Applications (RFA) for funding California Youth Opioid Response (YOR California) projects has been released. The YOR California is specifically designed to strengthen capacity and access to prevention, treatment, and recovery services, as well as access points to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as indicated, for youth (ages 12-24) and their families. Subgrants are also designed to foster the coordination and strengthening of existing multi-system organizations and encourage the development of new partnerships between agencies that touch youth.
The YOR California team (California Institute for Behavioral Health Services in partnership with Advocates for Human Potential, Inc.) seeks to identify up to 20 subgrantees to expand and enhance services for youth, with, or at risk of, an opioid disorder and their families. To advance this effort and communicate this opportunity as widely as possible, they are asking our partners and statewide associations to distribute this announcement to your membership and other interested parties. The RFA is posted on the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) website. An informational webinar will be held on May 14, 2019 at 1:00-2:00 p.m. (PST), and information on how to register for this event is forthcoming. Also, questions will be answered and posted on the website after the webinar. The application submission deadline is June 7, 2019, 4:00 p.m. (PST), and the projected award announcement date is June 29, 2019.
